i'm a bipolar trans kid, and in spring 2015, i spent a week in a mental hospital. i felt a compulsion to document my experience, so i kept a meticulous, illustrated diary while i was there. this is that diary.
i don't really know what else to say. i have a lot of feelings about beltane in brain jail. i don't know if you'll have feelings about it too, but i hope it means something to someone.

Might be weird to say, but this was pretty engaging to read. Very alive writing, full of personality, and the presentation and illustration were really nice. I'm sorry you and all the others had to go through it, screw brain jail. Thank you for sharing!
I don't have very clear thoughts to say much after reading this, however I think records like this could be a powerful reference for changing how we approach mental health issues. Everyone deserves dignity and respect, no exceptions.
I'm sorry that you went through this. I'm really glad you reached the other side though. Here's to a better, more peaceful future.
